Our soccer teams headed down to Sudbury, Ontario on Friday, Oct. 8th just before the long weekend. Both the WSOC and MSOC teams played single games, with their next game versus the Voyagers scheduled for their Oct. 30th home game.
The women held strong throughout the game, leaving us at the edge of our seats at half time with a score of Laurentian 0-0 Algoma. It was a fight to the end until a penalty kick goal for Laurentian in the final minute left us with a final score of Laurentian 1-0 Algoma.
The men's team faced off the Voyagers soon after, ending the game with a score of Laurentian 5-0 Algoma.
Next weekend, the Thunderbirds host the Rams on Saturday, Oct. 16th and Sunday Oct. 17th - good luck Thunderbirds!
