(TORONTO, Ont): To kick off the weekend, the Thunderbirds made their way down to Toronto to face the York Lions on Friday. 

With York taking a big lead in the first quarter, the women lost their game by a score of top scorer of the game was Gracie Rae Batongbakal with 13 points. Rhianna Mae Laing had 6 rebounds. 

Although the played well in the second half of their game, the men's team lost to York 83-69. Top scorer of the game was Tife Obasoto with 20 points. Jaylen White had 10 rebounds.

With the women starting the game strong in the first quarter, it was the McMaster Marauders who took the win with a final score of 84-49. Top scorer of the game was senior athlete Gracie Rae Batongbakal with 16 points and 5 rebounds. 

The men's team lost to McMaster with a final score of 86-65. Top scorer of the game was Taleh Wade with 15 points. Senior athlete Jaylen White had 6 rebounds.
