Despite the narrow loss, the team played their best game of the season, and the weekend was a resounding success. The team showed true Thunderbirds, resilience, and competitive spirit. With this strong start, the group is looking forward to building on the momentum as the season progresses.
Coach quote – "Super proud of these athletes. A great weekend to start our competitive season. We set goals to focus on team dynamics, communication, and process and not necessarily outcome at this event. We accomplished these goals and more. Despite the loss the team played their best over-all game of the season against UofT. We had a few opportunities we were not able to capitalize on to get the win, but we will learn from this experience and use it as our motivation moving forward."
