The Algoma University Thunderbirds are excited to welcome Katie Belanger to the women's soccer program for the upcoming season.
A Sault Ste. Marie native and graduate of St. Mary's College, Katie has been playing soccer since the age of 7 and brings a forward's mentality to the field. She previously played with the Sault Jr. Thunderbirds Soccer Club and is known for her dedication, adaptability, and strong team spirit.
Katie describes herself as a hardworking, coachable, and team-oriented athlete—qualities that will no doubt enhance the Thunderbirds both on and off the pitch. In addition to her passion for soccer, Katie is also a practicing esthetician, showcasing her creativity and attention to detail.
She is entering her second year of the Business Administration program at Algoma University and felt that staying local was the best choice for where she is in life right now.
