Marius Klein competed at the Brock Invitational Bonspiel held over the January 17th and 18th weekend at the Welland Curling Club. The team returned home with 1 win and 3 losses. Here are the match results:
Day 1 - Saturday, January 17th
Game 1 - Loss to Ontario Tech Ridgebacks: 6 - 3
Game 2 - Win over Windsor Lancers: 6 - 4
Day 2 - Sunday, January 18th
Game 3 - Loss to Guelph Gryphons: 10 - 3
Game 4 - Loss to Trent: 7 - 6
Head Coach of Thunderbird Men's Curling Tom Coulterman said: " I'm pleased with the way the team played this past weekend. They controlled 3 of the 4 games until late in the match. They have shown a lot of improvement over the season thus far and I'm looking forward to the next few weeks as we prepare for the upcoming OUA Men's Curling Championships."
The team will now prepare for the upcoming OUA Men's Curling Championship which is being held again at the Welland Curling Club and hosted by the Brock Badgers. The event is being held over the February 6th to the 8th weekend.
