FALL 2026 CAMP SESSIONS
TRAIN WITH USPORTS MEN'S AND WOMEN’S ALGOMA BASKETBALL PLAYERS & COACHES
This program will be focusing on individual development/training with our varsity players. In the older age groups, there will be a focus on individual skills, team concepts and strategies through a variety of drills, small sided games & competition; whereas in the younger age groups the focus will be fundamental movements and individual skills along with small sided games. The Junior Thunderbirds Basketball Development Program’s goal is to enhance & improve players’ individual skill levels through fundamentals & quality instruction & coaching, while establishing a positive and enriching environment based on teamwork, sportsmanship and having fun. Both our varsity basketball programs are eager to help teach and share their love for the game of basketball. This is a great opportunity to be coached, mentored by USPORTS athletes and coaches.
Program Goal: The Junior Thunderbirds Basketball Development Program aims to enhance and improve players’ individual skill levels through fundamentals, quality instruction, and coaching. We strive to establish a positive and enriching environment based on teamwork, sportsmanship, and having fun. Participants will be able to connect with our Varsity athletes and coaches consistently throughout each session.
Both of our varsity basketball programs are eager to help teach and share their love for the game. This is a tremendous opportunity for participants to be coached and mentored by USPORTS athletes and experienced coaches.
Thunderbirds Basketball - Session 1: Grade 4-8 (Girls & Boys) - Tuesday's 4:30-6:00pm
Thunderbirds Basketball - Session 2: Grade 4-8 (Girls & Boys) Wednesday's 4:30-6:00pm
705 BASKETBALL - 3X3
705 Basketball 3X3 is back for the upcoming winter!
Each session, players will be put into teams to play various games of 3X3 for an hour at designated hoops throughout the gym against multiple other teams. Throughout the session this will allow for more space to work and increased ball touches for each and every player. With music pumping, we'll create a safe, fun & positive environment for players while our Algoma Thunderbirds Varsity Men’s & Women’s Basketball players are cheering for, coaching and refereeing the games.

What: Please sign up for any of the one-hour sessions - MAXIMUM of 32 participants per session - Each player to receive a 705 3X3 T-Shirt
When: Each Sunday starting throughout October and November
Where: All games will be played at the George Leach Centre
How: Registration Deadline: October 3rd
Please note once registered & the registration cutoff date has passed there will be no refunds
