Josh Porco is the Head Coach of the Algoma Thunderbirds Women's curling team. He has been in this position since 2015 after transitioning from player to coach as the men’s curling team skip in the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons. Prior to coaching the Thunderbirds, Josh was a bantam coach locally and drawmaster in London, Ontario for the London Curling Club and the University of Western Ontario. Josh was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and works as an accountant.
He has been curling for nearly 20 years and holds a Level 1 and 2 NCCP Coaching Certification. Josh is currently working on the competition development program through the NCCP and Curling Canada, and looks to continue to grow the sport locally.
He holds a Level 1 and 2 Coaching Certification.
