Shane Seraphin comes from the Commonwealth of Dominica. He has been involved in soccer
from the young age of 12 when he first represented his school. Developing a love and
appreciation for the game, Shane went on to represent his country at the U17 level. His coaching
journey began in 2004 when he became a sports teacher at the San Sauveur Primary School.
There he got involved in many workshops and courses to sharpen his skills as a coach.
Determined to strengthen his abilities (career) further, Shane successfully completed his
CONCACAF D Coaching license in 2017 and C License in 2019. He was appointed Assistant
Coach of the National U17 Men’s team in 2019 and later that year, the Head Coach of the
National U14 Girls’ team. In the following years he served as Head Coach of the U15 and U17
National Girls teams. Shane also volunteered as the Head Coach of the East Central FC first
division and youth teams. His coaching philosophy is to provide a conducive environment that
encourages players to develop into holistic individuals and to provide them with skills necessary
to react adequately to situations on and off the field.
