Maria is an Algoma Psychology Alumni with a minor in Fine Arts. She also has a Masters of Education with a specialization in Teaching, Learning, and Development. She is currently an Ed.D. candidate, and plans to research the perspectives and resiliency of athletes and non-athletes during the pandemic. Although she began her love for movement later in life, she recognizes the value that exercise can bring into one's life.
Her position is new to the department, as she handles media and communications, sports information, and game day/events support for our Varsity department. She also works at the GLC, where she assists with facility management and supervision. Her goal within the department is to showcase our exceptional athletes, while also raising awareness through various initiatives.
