Soccer Weekend Recap: Men’s Team Upsets Over the Nationally Ranked York Lions

The teams took on the York Lions this past weekend on home turf.

On Saturday, we honoured the Every Child Matters campaign by warming up in orange shirts and acknowledging Phyllis' story at the start of the games. The proceeds from the games will be donated to the SASA Scholarship.

On Sunday, we handed out our collaborative bursary with Soo Youth Soccer Club to some of our players. These individuals included Tori Carbone, Samarah Hammond, Abby McKnight, Chris Olungwe, Simona Mazzuca and Ava Provenzano. This partnership was created to encourage local talent to continue their soccer career at Algoma University and play at the OUA level.
